1. Overview

pymtz ("we", "us", "the Platform") is a payment facilitation platform that enables approved merchants to accept USD card payments through secure hosted checkout. By creating an account, you agree to these terms in full.

pymtz is operated by WiPay Caribbean and uses WiPay as the default checkout processor. pymtz may support alternate processors for platform continuity when enabled by administration.

2. Eligibility & Onboarding

pymtz is an invite-only platform. Access is granted exclusively through:

All merchants must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before processing live payments. This includes business registration details, identification of directors, and proof of business operations.

3. Fees & Pricing

Transaction fees consist of:

Fees are deducted automatically from each transaction before settlement. Your effective rate is displayed in your dashboard.

3.1 Fee Modes

Merchants can choose how processing fees are applied:

4. Chargebacks & Disputes

⚠️ Critical Section — Please Read Carefully

Excessive chargebacks pose a serious risk to the platform and all merchants. pymtz enforces strict chargeback policies to protect the ecosystem.

4.1 Chargeback Threshold

Merchants must maintain a chargeback rate below 1.0% of total transactions (measured monthly). This is the industry standard set by card networks (Visa/Mastercard).

4.2 Chargeback Fees

4.3 Chargeback Rate Tiers

4.4 Dispute Response

Merchants are responsible for responding to disputes within the timeframe required by the card network (typically 7—21 days). pymtz will forward dispute notifications immediately. Failure to respond results in automatic loss of the dispute.

5. Rolling Reserve

What is a Rolling Reserve?

A small percentage of each transaction is held in reserve to cover potential chargebacks and refunds. Funds are released after the holding period.

5.1 Security Deposit

Instead of a per-transaction rolling reserve, pymtz requires a security deposit from each reseller partner, determined by the risk profile of their industry:

The deposit is set by pymtz administration during reseller onboarding and must be paid before the reseller's merchants can process live payments.

5.2 Deposit Usage

In the event of a chargeback from any merchant under a reseller's portfolio, the disputed amount plus the chargeback fee ($15) is deducted from the reseller's security deposit. The reseller is responsible for replenishing the deposit to its original amount within 30 days.

5.3 Deposit Depletion

If a reseller's security deposit falls below 25% of the original amount, all merchants under that reseller may have live processing paused until the deposit is replenished. If the deposit reaches $0, all merchant accounts under the reseller are suspended.

6. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination:

7. Account Suspension & Termination

pymtz reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that:

Upon termination, any remaining balance (minus reserves and pending chargebacks) will be settled within 180 days.

8. Limitation of Liability

pymtz acts as a payment facilitator and is not liable for disputes between merchants and their customers. Merchants are solely responsible for the quality of goods/services delivered and for maintaining proper records to defend against chargebacks.

9. Reseller Terms

Reseller partners are subject to the following additional terms:

10. Privacy & Data

pymtz collects and processes merchant data solely for the purpose of payment facilitation, KYC compliance, and fraud prevention. We do not sell merchant data to third parties. Payment card data is entered on secure hosted checkout pages handled by the active payment processor and is not stored by pymtz.

11. Modifications

pymtz reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Merchants will be notified via email of material changes. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
